| Exports & Imports : | |
| India Imports from U.S., Japan,
Germany, France, China, Switzerland, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Turkey,
Jordan, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Products imported are Insecticides,
Fungicides, Herbicides, Weedicides, Rodenticides, Fumigants, plant
growth regulators, Pesticides. Products having good imort potentials are: monocrotophos, BHC, endosulfan, quinalphos, fenval, malathion, chloropyriphos, and dimethoate, isoproturan, butachlor, anilophos, glyphosate, Mancozeb, copper sulfate, copper oxychloride, carbendazim, thiram, ziram, and captan Agricultural chemicals and formulations are allowed to be imported into India without restrictions, provided the chemicals have been registered with the Central Insecticides Board/Department of Plant Protection under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, and is not an item prohibited for import under the Central Insecticides Act of 1968 The agricultural chemicals industry is also subject to eco-labeling.
